Q: What does it cost to join the club?
A: The annual dues are $125.
Q: What does the dues pay for?
A: The $125 pays for the annual BASS National dues ($20); BASS State dues ($25); Club dues($30); and the club portion of the tournament entry fee ($50/ $5 per tournament)
Q: What do I get for my $125?
A: As a member of the Shady Tree Bassmasters, you are also a full member of the BASS Federation Nation. You will receive a monthly subscription to BASS Times Newspaper and a bi-monthly subscription to Bass Club Digest. These two magazines give detailed information on how to catch more fish. You are eligible to fish any club, regional or state open tournament. Your BASS membership is upgraded to BASS Insider and you can access the Insider Area on the Bassmaster website.
Q: What does the club do with the rest of the annual dues?
A: The Shady Tree Bassmasters is a federated club and annually, we send the best two members based on the previous year final standings to the State level Mr. BASS competition. Additionally, the club also sends the best six members based on the previous year final standings to the State level Six-Man Team competition. In both cases, the club pays the entrance fees and the hotel cost for those teams. The club also purchases plaques for every club member. The plaque contains 10 spaces that has engraved brass plates that track the final standing for each member. This allows them to know as a glance how they have finish during previous seasons. We also have an annual picnic, which is held during the summer and this is paid for by the club.
