Shady Tree Bassmasters is a medium sized bass club located in Richmond, Virginia. We fish all the navigable waters from the Potomac River to Buggs Island and everything in between. Since founded in 1997, we have been proudly affiliated with the Virginia Chapter of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) Federation Nation.

Lyndon Johnson wins the first Region 6 tournament of the year with 13.95 lbs and sets the Region Big Fish of the Year bar at 5.15 lbs.

Toney Hill wins the third Region 6 tournament on the Potomac River with 15 lbs, 4 oz.
Toney Burgess wins the first tournament of the 2011 Season. Even though the tournament was moved to the Chick River due to conditions, Toney was able to put together the winning sack of fishThe AOY is here! Bob Moseley, the 2010 AOY is on his way to repeating his winning season in 2011. Bob won the Lake Gaston tournament and set the Big Fish at 4.08 lbsToney Burgess wins his second tournament of the year. And starts down the road toward another Angler of the Year title.Lyndon Johnson wins again. This time the long time member takes over as the reigning club champion of the Pamunkey River. With only a pound separating the top four finishers, Lyndon's 7.94 lbs best the field and secures number 2.During a joint tournament, Milton Robbins (shown wearing sunglasses) was able to rise to the top of the Shady Tree anglers. The long time member was able to redefined the meaning of the "Ole Man and the Sea" to Milton wins again!

Multiple AOY winner Toney Burgess teams up with Jim Harrison to win the partner tournament on the Nottaway River.
Lyndon Johnson wins on the Potomac!. Not to be beat on his so called "Home Water", he was able to find a limit that beat his closest angler by only 1/4 pound. Commenting on the small margin of victory, Lyndon was quoted as saying "it was close but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades".
In the final tournament of the regular season, Toney accomplishes what no other angler in the history of the club has done, 5 tournament wins in a single season. And Toney Burgess becomes the 2011 Angler of the Year.
